Five people died in a fire in a two-story residential building in Kirov, REN TV reported on February 19.
As it became known to the TV channel, the fire occurred in a four-apartment building on 38 Borodulin Street.
The firefighters who arrived at the scene found the bodies of three people, including two children. The search for the bodies of two more victims continues. In addition, six more people were injured in the fire.
Eight fire brigades and emergency workers work on the spot. The fire was assigned the second rank, the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations notes. Information about the fire was received by the department at 00:46. Open burning was eliminated at 2:00.
The Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Kirov Region has begun an inspection after the fire. The reasons and circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
