Fishing vessel caught fire in the Murmansk port

The fishing vessel “Tavrichesky”, which is under repair in the Murmansk port, caught fire on Tuesday. This was reported in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in the Murmansk region on October 27.

“According to operational information, the fishing vessel“ Tavrichesky ”was being repaired at berth No. 9 of the Murmansk shipyard on Podgornaya street. The crew of the vessel is three people, all of them have been evacuated, ”the press service told TASS.

According to preliminary data, no victims. The fire zone is 30 sq. m – two cabins and a workshop are on fire.

Two links of the gas and smoke protection service were involved in the elimination of the fire, the fire was assigned the first category of complexity. Who owns the ship is being specified.

On October 24, an explosion occurred on the General Azi Aslanov tanker sailing under the Russian flag. The vessel was sailing empty from the port of Kavkaz to Rostov-on-Don. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, it was in good condition. Onboard there were 13 people, 10 of them were evacuated, three disappeared. Later, during the inspection of the tanker, the alleged remains of the crew members were found.

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on violation of fire safety requirements.
