First Deputy Head of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Gennady Bukhtin died in Moscow. This was announced on Saturday, January 9, by Elena Shumakova, director of the regional department of public and external relations.

The fact that 60-year-old Bukhtin was urgently hospitalized in one of the capital’s hospitals was reported in early December by URA.RU. At the same time, it was not specified whether the official was diagnosed with a coronavirus, but the interlocutor of the portal noted that Bukhtin “overlapped several diseases at once.”

Bukhtin has served as Deputy Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug since 2010. He was in charge of the regional departments of state order, state property management, labor and employment, project management, economic development and finance. He also supervised the work of the regional tariff service.
