Pasco, Washington, police said the playground roller coaster was found missing in December last year.
The disappearance investigation led to the arrest of a certain Dustin Bushnell, who sawed off a 400-pound slide from the base, repainted it, brought it into his son’s bedroom and attached it to his top-level bed.
The hill was discovered by police when they were looking for stolen catalytic converters and received a search warrant at Bushnell’s mobile home. Detective Julie Lee remembered the incident on the playground in December last year, and when she discovered the slide in the children’s bedroom, she immediately realized that this was the very “loss”.
By the way, the main purpose of the search was also achieved. The stolen catalytic converters were indeed found in Bushnell’s mobile home.
