The foreign ministers of the European Union countries intend to hold a video conference on Friday, August 14, at which they will discuss the situation in Belarus, the Polish Foreign Ministry said.

“In response to Poland’s request, this Friday EU Foreign Ministers will hold a special video conference to discuss the situation in Belarus,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius spoke with the rival of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at the August 9 presidential elections, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya. As he noted in Twitter, she is “in good spirits and will perform soon.”
