In Greece, an elderly woman died shortly after the coronavirus vaccination, according to preliminary data, she had chronic diseases. The site Naftemporiki reports about it on March 30.

“A 65-year-old woman was found unconscious half an hour after the coronavirus vaccination she received at the Ilion medical center (an area in the north of Athens – Ed.). After being vaccinated, she waited a quarter of an hour, as indicated in the protocol, and then left. A few minutes later, she was found in a semi-conscious state near the medical center, the doctors took her to where she died, ”the newspaper said.

The reasons for her death are currently being investigated. According to reports, the woman suffered from chronic diseases.

In Greece, people under 65 are vaccinated with a drug from AstraZeneca. The country uses vaccines that have been recognized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) – from Pfizer / BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson.

On February 23, it was reported that Greek doctors noted five serious side effects after being vaccinated against the coronavirus. According to the chairman of the National Vaccination Committee, Distinguished Professor of Pediatrics Maria Theodoridou, the side effects are associated with anaphylactic reaction.

Earlier on March 30, it became known that the Berlin authorities had suspended the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine, they are awaiting expert advice.

On March 15, Germany suspended the use of AstraZeneca, then the country’s Ministry of Health resumed the use of the drug after the recommendation of the drug regulator EMA. As the German media reported on March 30, after vaccination, 31 people were found to have sinus thrombosis of the dura mater, of which nine died.

Earlier on Tuesday, it was reported that 55 people had died in Austria after being vaccinated against the coronavirus. The relationship between deaths and vaccinations has not been established. 52 were vaccinated with BioNTech / Pfizer, two Moderna, one AstraZeneca.

The European Medicines Agency has reported that AstraZeneca is safe and effective against COVID-19. But the danger of developing blood clots will be warned in the description of the drug.
