Eight people were killed in a fire at an industrial facility in the Chinese city of Shanghai. On Friday, April 23, RIA Novosti reports with reference to a statement by the city government.
The fire occurred at a facility owned by Shanghai Shengrui Electronic Technology in the Jinshan area on Friday at 6.20 local time (1.20 Moscow time). The fire was eliminated.
Rescuers worked almost all night and as a result found the bodies of eight people without signs of life, two of them were firefighters who came to the call, the statement said.
Emergency services continue to work on the spot to eliminate the consequences of the emergency. The causes of the fire are still unknown, the investigation is ongoing.
