Earthquakes hit Chile and Indonesia

Seismologists have recorded earthquakes in Chile with a magnitude of 5.4, as well as off the coast of Indonesia with a magnitude of 4.9. This was reported by the country’s seismological service.

Tremors were recorded on Wednesday, April 28, at 22:18 (05:18 GMT Thursday, April 29) in the Bio-Bio region in central Chile. The source of the earthquake lay at a depth of 148.7 km, writes REGNUM.

According to the Argentine Earthquake Prevention Institute, the tremors were also felt by the inhabitants of the Argentine province of Neuquen, which is located on the border with Chile.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), tremors with a magnitude of 4.9 were also recorded off the coast of Indonesia. Their epicenter was 163 km from the city of Tobelo at a depth of 46 km, writes RT.

On April 28, seismologists recorded a 3.4 magnitude earthquake in the Black Sea near Anapa. All life support systems are operating normally.
