Journalist and TV presenter Igor Vykhukholev died at the age of 67. This was announced on Tuesday, January 19, by his daughter Maria in her Facebook account.

“Today Igor Vykhukholev is gone. Thank you, dad, for everything, ”wrote Maria Vykhukholeva.

The reasons for his death have not yet been reported.

Vykhukholev was born in Moscow in 1955. He is a graduate of the socio-economic faculty of the Institute of Asian and African Countries at Moscow State University. He became a candidate of historical sciences in 1991.

From 1978 to 1981 he worked at the Novosti Press Agency, and then worked as a correspondent and head of the regional department of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company in Tokyo.

He became the presenter of information programs on ORT (Channel One) in the mid-90s. He hosted, including the “Time” program and news broadcasts. In 2005-2006, he served as editor-in-chief of the night and morning news broadcasting of the Directorate of Information Programs on Channel One, and then moved to VGTRK.
