NPO Mashinostroyenia, ordered by Roscosmos, is developing the Kondor-FKA-M satellite. This was announced by the chief designer of the enterprise in the direction of spacecraft Alexei Rabochiy, according to the corporate publication “Tribuna”.

“The work is being carried out by order of the State Corporation Roscosmos in the interests of thematic customers (Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, EMERCOM of Russia, Rosreestr, Roshydromet). Our team has carried out a large amount of preparatory work, including with the financial support of the enterprise, “- said the specialist. According to him, the preliminary design of the satellite was completed last year.

This year, specialists will begin to develop technical documentation.

As Rabochiy noted, as a result, a promising spacecraft with very high characteristics will be created. This will enable the device to receive information in a higher resolution and increase productivity.

Earlier that day, Dmitry Rogozin, General Director of Roscosmos, in his congratulations on the 60th anniversary of the first ever manned space flight, said that Russia is on the eve of important changes in the industry.

On April 12, Russia celebrates Cosmonautics Day. On this day in 1961, the Vostok rocket with the spaceship of the same name with the pilot Yuri Gagarin on board was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome.
