In March, compared with January 2021, sales of tests for antibodies to coronavirus fell by 51% (in monetary terms). This is evidenced by the data of the analytical resource “CheckIndex” (a project of the IT company “Platform OFD”, which processes 44 million checks daily from a million online cash registers in the country).

According to the observation of resource analysts, one of the peak periods for the delivery of PCR tests and analyzes for antibodies to the virus was January 2021, when it was announced that most of the restrictions were lifted. At this time, many were preparing to leave the remote mode of work, checking themselves for the presence of infection and immunity to it.

“In Russia, the largest number of tests for antibodies of class G (IgG) to a new coronavirus infection was performed during October 2020. This was due to the increased incidence of both SARS and coronavirus. The peak of requests fell on the period from January 23 to February 6, 2021, “the press service of the Invitro group of companies told Izvestia.

The total sales of all laboratory tests have decreased by 18% since January 2021. At the same time, over the year (since April 2020), it has grown 3.5 times. As for PCR tests for COVID-19, their sales volume increased almost 50 times over the year, and antibody tests – 13.5 times.
