Ukraine does not have any instruments for the “return” of Crimea, such hysteria has been heard periodically over the past years. This was announced on April 11 by the Crimean political scientist Vladislav Ganzhara.

Thus, Ganzhara commented on the statement of the former NATO representative in Russia, Harry Tabakh, that Ukraine is capable of returning Crimea after the “collapse of Russia”.

“We know that Mr. Zelensky is preparing a meeting of the so-called platform on the return of Crimea, where he is trying to attract a number of representatives of foreign countries. In the United States, in the North Atlantic Alliance, despite the fact that Crimea has been an integral part of Russia for many years, irritation about this is still present, “RT quotes the expert as saying.

Ganzhara also said that such statements are due to the fact that the role of Russia in the international arena has increased significantly, and the stability that exists in the Russian Federation annoys NATO and the United States.

Earlier that day, Tabakh spoke about the possible return of Crimea to Ukraine. According to him, in order for this to happen, it is necessary to wait until the Russian Federation itself “collapses”. After that, according to Tabakh, two scenarios are possible. The first implies the return of Crimea to Ukraine. In the second case, Crimea will become an independent state, friendly towards Ukraine.

Earlier, on March 24, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved a strategy for the de-occupation and reintegration of Crimea. The document defines a complex of diplomatic, military, economic and other measures that will be aimed at “returning” Kiev control over the peninsula.

Crimea became part of Russia following a referendum in 2014. At that time, 96.77% of the inhabitants of the peninsula and 95.6% of the voters of Sevastopol were in favor of joining. The Russian leadership has repeatedly stated that the inhabitants of Crimea have democratically voted in full accordance with international law for reunification with the Russian Federation. According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Crimea issue is “finally closed.”
