The hogweed threatens the Pskov park at the Mirozhsky monastery, which is currently being renovated as part of cross-border cooperation programs. As the correspondent of “MK in Pskov” reports, the deputy head of the Pskov administration Pavel Volkov told about such a problem at a press conference dedicated to the implementation of projects in Pskov within the framework of cross-border cooperation programs.
On this topic:
“About two weeks before the large-scale subbotnik, which took place over the weekend, we met with the contractor about the need to carry out some improvements. There are some problems. First, there is drainage that does not fully work. We plan to sow the park as soon as the weather permits and to strengthen the bank. The second problem is that since the territory has been depressed for a long time, there are hogweed seeds there. This means that now we need to start fighting it so that our beautiful city does not turn into a field of cow parsnip, ”the deputy head of the administration listed.
We add that thanks to cross-border cooperation programs, an observation deck over the Mirozhka River, new bridges and art objects appeared in Pskov, Wi-Fi was held for the convenience of schoolchildren and students who can study the biological diversity of Pskov in the updated park. By the way, now it is not yet connected, the question of who will pay for Internet access services is being considered.
