In Kalmykia, on the basis of the Russian National Gymnasium named after Sergius Radonezhskog, a scientific and practical seminar on Cossack education was held.
The seminar “Formation of the system of continuous Cossack education: educational and organizational aspects” was organized by the Department of Religious Education of the Elista and Kalmyk Diocese and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the participation of the Cossack Expert and Analytical Center of the Moscow State University of Technology and Management named after K. Razumovsky (the first Cossack University).
Teachers of Cossack classes, deputy heads of educational institutions for educational work, representatives of the Cossacks, Orthodox and Buddhist priests listened to a series of lectures on the development of educational projects with a Cossack cultural component, and also discussed the prospects of grant support for initiatives on spiritual and moral education and the creation of a school of social design at the base of the association of the Cossack classes of Kalmykia.
