The regional operational headquarters for combating the coronavirus epidemic reports that on April 17 in the Kostroma region, the diagnosis of COVID was confirmed in 32 patients. Of these, 16 people live in Kostroma. In addition, 4 new cases of the disease were diagnosed in Volgorechensk, 3 in Galich, and 2 in the Nerekhta region. On one occasion, it was noted in Krasny-on-Volga, Ponazyrevo, Makariev, Buisk, Sudislavsky, Sharyinsky and Kostroma districts.

Fortunately, there was no data on the deaths of the disease … But information came from Rospotrebnadzor that in the Kostroma region the number of citizens who had been ill with COVID exceeded 20 thousand people, and about 30 thousand were fully vaccinated. That is, 50 thousand Kostroma residents (or 10% of the region’s residents) already have immunity to the coronavirus. When 60% of Kostroma residents receive vaccinations, this will be the very same “herd immunity”, in which it will be possible to remove all anti-epidemic restrictions.
