“A separate structure will be created in the region – the Coordination Center for Organ Donation. It is planned to open it on the basis of the regional clinical hospital №2. This is a functional center, it will include resuscitation doctors, neurologists who work in large regional hospitals, ”said Yevgeny Nikonov, deputy chairman of the regional government for social issues.
According to him, the employees of the future center are now undergoing training in Moscow, adopting the experience of colleagues from leading clinics, writes IA AmurMedia.
During the round table, the participants also discussed the possibility of transplanting various organs. The first kidney transplant is already scheduled for the second quarter of this year. It will be held at the Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1 named after Professor S.I. Sergeeva.
As the head of the regional Ministry of Health Yuri Boychenko noted, the hospital is currently undergoing a preparation procedure. It is necessary to open a transplantation department and equip a clinical immunology laboratory with equipment.
According to Boychenko, due to transplantation, the cost per patient in the first year will amount to more than 2 million rubles, but in subsequent years only observation will be required, so the costs will decrease to 300 thousand rubles.
“But the main thing: the quality of life and survival of patients after kidney transplantation are much higher. A patient with an allograft is actually healthy, ”the minister emphasized.
According to experts, the implementation of the program will require about 100 million rubles. Financing is possible through subsidies from the federal and regional budgets.
