Cooperation between the PRC and Russia in the framework of the creation of an international lunar base on the Moon is aimed at the development of world socio-economic progress. This is stated in the message of the China National Space Administration (CNSA), published on Saturday, April 23.
The publication of the department refers to the implementation, together with Roscosmos, of large-scale cooperation on the creation of an international research lunar base on the Moon, as stated by the head of CNSA Wu Yanhua in his speech at the Chinese-Russian presentation of the joint project in Nanjing.
He added that this cooperation is being implemented on the basis of dialogue, joint efforts and the principle of collective use, which together contribute to the promotion of world progress in aerospace technologies and socio-economic development.
The lunar base project should be an important contribution to the UN’s space development program, Wu Yanhua added.
On April 15, it became known about the start of the development of water supply systems for the lunar base and the interplanetary space station.
Within the framework of this project, the Research and Design Institute of Chemical Engineering intends to create water supply systems for the main objects of the lunar program: an orbital station, a landing complex, a lunar base and an interplanetary space station.
