The Chechen Republic is monitoring information about a shootout in Belgium, as a result of which a native of Chechnya, Aslambek Diresov, was killed and two more Chechens were wounded. “We are awaiting clear explanations of what happened from the relevant Belgian government services,” said Nurdi Nukhazhiev, Ombudsman for Human Rights in Chechnya.
Commenting on “another bloody conflict in Europe”, which resulted in the death of a native of Chechnya, the Ombudsman stated “serious concern” about conflicts among European migrants in the Chechen Republic.
The frequency with which such conflicts occur, “suggests some thoughts,” noted Nurdi Nukhazhiev, who believes that “the beneficiary of these clashes may be certain political forces.” Such conflicts are one of the ways to solve the migration problem, – he drew attention.
The Chechen Ombudsman also noted “the strange silence of international human rights structures”, which, as a rule, “do not give their assessment of the events with human victims if they did not occur in Russia.”
The human rights ombudsman in the Chechen Republic appealed to the natives of Chechnya living abroad themselves to show prudence and refrain from participating in dubious actions.
