Most tour operators did not notice a sharp surge in sales for the cashback promotion over the weekend. This was announced on August 24 on its website by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

“A number of market players also observed a certain decline compared to the first day of sales,” the message says. Experts attributed this to the activity of travel agents. “Many of them do not work on weekends, and already on Monday, when they go to work, we again see an increase in bookings,” said Sergei Romashkin from Dolphin.

Tour operators predict the next peak in demand for promotions on the days when this promotion ends.

On August 22, the head of the ATOR transport committee Dmitry Gorin called the cashback program for tours around Russia unprecedented. The only drawback he called the short sale period – only one week.

On August 21, the head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova said that within a few hours from the start of the sale of tours with cashback, more than 200 thousand people visited the portal. The first package was purchased in the third minute of sales.

To get cashback for buying a tour in Russia, you need to go to the portal mirtraveli.ru from August 21 to 28, where you can choose a tour or hotel accommodation for a period of four nights or more and cost from 25 thousand rubles. After that, it remains to pay for the trip with the card of the national payment system “Mir”.
