Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the government has provided additional privileges for residents of the country who are caring for relatives in need of care. The number of days allocated for this was doubled: from 10 to 20. However, the settlement was valid until the end of April.
Due to the fact that due to the pandemic, many in need of care lost their carers, the government extended this privilege for another three months. In order to organize short-term care for a relative, working residents of the country can take 20 “free days” instead of 10 previously set for this purpose. The care allowance, which is intended to compensate for lost wages during this time, will be paid for all 20 working days.
