A new outbreak of brucellosis was detected in the Orenburg region. Quarantine has been introduced in the Sol-Iletsk urban district and the Orenburg region, according to the regional administration of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

According to the agency, outbreaks of brucellosis were registered in the village of Vetlyanka (Sol-Iletskiy gorokrug) and on the Chuloshnikov farm (Orenburgskiy district). Now employees of the regional veterinary service under the control of the Rosselkhoznadzor are engaged in the prevention and diagnosis of the disease, 56orb.ru writes.

Animals diagnosed with brucellosis will be sent for slaughter to special sites. This must be done within 15 days from the date of diagnosis.

Brucellosis is considered confirmed when positive results of studies of biological or pathological material are obtained.

At the end of June last year, a veterinarian of a local agricultural cooperative appeared before the court in the Tyumen region, who concealed information about the signs of brucellosis in cows. The disease was detected in 400 cows, in connection with which quarantine was introduced on the farm. All animals were disposed of at the enterprise.
