Washington must be ready for any scenario of the development of events in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of the American military from the country. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said this in an interview with CBS News, which aired on May 2.
Interviewer Norah O’Donnell asked the chief of American diplomacy if the American authorities were ready for a “worst-case scenario” in which the radical Taliban movement (banned in Russia) would replace the US-backed government.
“We must be ready for any scenario and their whole spectrum. We look at this very sensibly, ”Blinken replied.
