Former US Vice President Joseph Biden, the most likely Democratic candidate for head of state in the November elections, has not yet been tested for coronavirus infection. The politician said this on Tuesday, July 28, during a conversation with reporters in Wilmington (Delaware), CNN reported.

“No, I didn’t,” Biden replied when asked if he was tested for COVID-19.

At the end of May, the ex-vice president said that he had not been tested because he had no symptoms of the disease and he followed the recommendations of doctors.

According to Johns Hopkins University, about 4.3 million cases of the new coronavirus have been recorded in the United States, over 148.2 thousand people have died.

Biden is ahead of President Donald Trump in voter polls in three strategically important states for the incumbent. This is evidenced by the results of a CNN poll released on July 26. We are talking about Arizona, Florida and Michigan, in which Trump won during the 2016 elections.

On July 16, it became known that, according to the latest data from the political science portal Real Clear Politics, the most likely candidate for the presidency of the United States from the Democratic Party, Biden, is ahead of the current head of state by an average of 8.6% in popularity among voters.
