The German company Audi is testing the Q9 in Europe, which will be the largest crossover in the brand’s lineup. Reported by Autoevolution.

According to the newspaper, the length of the car will be 5200 mm. The Q9 is based on the MLB Evo platform, which also powers the Audi Q7, Volkswagen Touareg, Porsche Cayenne, Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus.

The engine lineup of the model will include six- and eight-cylinder turbocharged engines operating on the principle of “mild hybrid”: each power unit will be equipped with an electric motor, which is powered by the on-board network. The electric motor is connected during acceleration, reducing the load on the main motor.

There will also be a modification of the Audi SQ9 with a 435-horsepower diesel engine or a 507-horsepower gasoline engine, as well as an RS version with an engine with a power of over 600 hp.

On November 16, it was reported that Audi will launch the updated SQ2 subcompact crossover on the European market in 2021.

The car will receive a new grille, matrix LED headlights, and front and rear bumpers with additional air intakes.
