11 “Kitayka” apple trees were planted on the Michurinsk embankment. This event gave a start to landscaping works in the city.
The seedlings were planted on April 20 in the Michurinskoe Podgorye Landscape Park. The city of science is being planted as part of the improvement month.
“It is symbolic that the trees will grow and bloom on the banks of the Lesnoy Voronezh River opposite the house-museum of the great scientist and breeder Ivan Vladimirovich Michurin,” noted the press service of the Michurinsk city administration.
This year, flowers, ornamental shrubs and trees will appear here and elsewhere in the science city. The residents of Michurin will plant over 30 thousand flowers on the flower beds, including petunias, marigolds, cineraria, salvia and coleus. The specialists will start these works when the weather conditions stabilize.
And on April 24 this year, an all-Russian subbotnik will take place on Michurinskaya embankment, in which everyone will take part.
In the Tambov region, an international action “Garden of Memory” (6+) is currently taking place.
