In the south-west of the Orenburg region on Tuesday, February 23, an explosion occurred on the main gas pipeline. This was reported in the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergencies.
According to the ministry, the gas pipeline burst occurred in the morning in the Ilek region, 6-7 km from the village of Mukhranovo. The forces and means of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the region went to the place of the emergency. Currently, 54 people and 16 pieces of equipment (34 people and nine pieces of equipment from the Ministry of Emergency Situations) are working there, an operational headquarters has been deployed.
“There are no injured or dead,” the press service said.
According to the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the damage occurred on 108 km of the Soyuz gas pipeline with a diameter of 1400 with gas ignition. This gas pipeline is connected to the Orenburg-Novopskov trunk pipeline, which is owned by Gazpromtransgaz Yekaterinburg.
As a result, the section of the gas pipeline from the zero to 123 km of the Soyuz gas pipeline was disconnected.
In addition, the transit of gas through the Alekseevka GIS to Kazakhstan was terminated. Gas supply to consumers is carried out from the cylinder of the Orenburg – Novopskov gas pipeline, the Ministry of Energy said.
Gas burnout occurs in the damaged area, flare combustion is noted.
In early December, the explosion of the gas pipeline occurred in the area of the bypass highway near Serov in the Sverdlovsk region. As a result of the incident, no one was hurt.
