An exhibition dedicated to the female view of war opens in Kazan

On May 4, the All-Russian exhibition of the Kazan branch of the Professional Union of Artists of the CIS “Katyusha came ashore …”, dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, will open at the Ildar Zaripov Gallery in Kazan. IA “Tatar-inform” reports about this with reference to the organizers.

The exposition will feature the works of women artists and patchwork masters. In total, they will present 12 paintings to the audience. Also, visitors to the exhibition will see 20 children’s works.

The main heroines of the paintings are mothers, wives, sisters, daughters who lost their relatives in the war.

War and women are incompatible concepts, but then more than 500 thousand women were drafted into the war. Taking into account all the women who wanted to help their fathers, brothers, husbands, there will be more than a million of them. Their contribution to the Victory is invaluable, said Lada Ayudag, head of the Kazan branch of the Professional Union of Artists of the CIS.

The exhibition will run from 4 to 12 May.
