This week St. Petersburg will receive the EpiVacCorona vaccine, which can be used to inoculate 13,770 people, the interdepartmental coordinating council reported on April 6. Unlike the popular Sputnik V, EpiVacCorona is a one-component preparation.

Therefore, the vaccine only needs to be vaccinated once. The council stressed that the number of new cases of coronavirus infection recorded in hospitals decreased by 3.9% over the week. The number of actively patients with COVID-19 decreased by 5.2%.

The proportion of critically ill patients in coronavirus hospitals at the moment is 26%, 180 patients are on mechanical ventilation. Since the start of the pandemic, 414,934 people have been vaccinated in the city, of which 301,006 have completed the vaccination cycle.
