Governor Alexei Dyumin signed the Law of the Tula Region “On Amendments to Article 3 of the Law of the Tula Region” On Physical Culture and Sports “. The regional law “On Physical and Sports” is being brought into line with federal legislation. This is reported by the regional government.
The law gives the government of the Tula region the authority to approve programs for the development of sports, to nominate Russian cities as candidates for the right to host international physical culture events and sports events.
Also, the regional law specifies the powers of the regional government to organize and conduct regional sports events. The regional government is empowered to participate in the organization and conduct of interregional, all-Russian and international sports competitions among students, including in the framework of school sports leagues and student sports leagues, and among students, held in the territories of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
