Police officers detained in the center of Moscow at an unauthorized rally in support of blogger Alexei Navalny a teenager with a sapper shovel. This was announced on Wednesday, April 21, at the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is noted that the minor was born in 2005. Currently, an investigation is underway, and all the circumstances of the incident are being established, REN TV writes.
On April 21, unauthorized actions took place in Moscow and a number of Russian cities. As of 20:30, about 6 thousand people took part in the uncoordinated event in Moscow. The police warned all the participants of the action about the responsibility provided by the law.
Also on this day it became known that the participants of the uncoordinated action in the center of Yekaterinburg on the evening of April 21, blocked the movement of pedestrians and vehicles. According to local authorities, about 5 thousand people took part in the action.
The day before, the Russian Interior Ministry warned about the illegality of the planned actions. The department urged citizens to refrain from participating in them, as provocations are possible. In addition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that restrictive measures are in place in the regions aimed at countering the spread of COVID-19.
On April 19, publicist Armen Gasparyan said that potential participants in illegal events in support of Navalny were promised 500 rubles each.
