The court sentenced a 20-year-old resident of Cherepovets, who was accused of stealing money from her grandmother’s account.

The press service of the courts of the Vologda region reports that the incident took place in November last year. A woman from Cherepov, who lives with a pensioner, transferred about 57 thousand rubles through a mobile application when the woman asked to pay for the travel card for her youngest granddaughter. She did not say anything to her grandmother about this. She wanted to spend the funds on online courses on producing, but did not have time to apply. She spent part of the money on her own needs.

The defendant also explained that earlier she and her relative had discussed the purchase of the training course, and the grandmother agreed to pay for them, however, they did not discuss the date and amount of payment. The defendant compensated for the damage and apologized. She is still on good terms with her grandmother. The victim in court asked to relieve her granddaughter of criminal liability, but since her testimony was different during the investigation, the court still sentenced the girl to a 1-year suspended sentence with a probationary period for the same period.
