The digital transformation rating of federal ministries and departments will appear in Russia by the end of January 2021. This was announced on Friday, December 11, by the country’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

He noted that by the end of December, at least two departmental data sets should be formed for the implementation of projects in the field of artificial intelligence.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that the rating will be compiled taking into account the timing and quality of the order by the leaders of digital transformation.

In October, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to work out the issue of creating digital maturity ratings for federal and regional authorities by May 2021.

In addition, the head of state ordered to ensure the transfer of state and municipal services to electronic format by 2023.

In the same month, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree according to which federal authorities and governing bodies of state extra-budgetary funds should develop digital transformation programs for 2021 and a planning period of 2022-2023.
