In the Tver region, the social project “Region of Good Deeds” is being implemented, which won the All-Russian competition for the best regional practices to support volunteering. The region received 6.8 million rubles for his support.
According to Tverskiye Vedomosti, the project consists of two blocks. The first is the creation of a resource center for volunteerism and civic initiatives. The organization is engaged in popularizing and informing residents about volunteers, training and developing volunteering competencies in areas that are most in demand. So, on the basis of the center, workshops, seminars, consulting and refresher courses are held. The center also helps in organizing and holding the Ploshchad Dobra charity and volunteering festival and the Best Volunteer Practices conference.
At the second stage, three projects should be implemented. The first, organized by the Tver State Polytechnic University under the name “Media appeal. Become a media volunteer ”, will start working in the Upper Volga region in 2021.
The second project is the regional program of leaders of the volunteer asset “Constellation”. Its task is to improve the professional, social and personal competencies of volunteers.
The third project is the Leaders of Change corporate volunteerism development program. Within its framework, companies will learn about the activities of volunteers and will be able to provide assistance to residents of the region. The project is being carried out by the Tver Foundation for Urban Development
The “Region of Good Deeds” project was developed by the Regional Committee for Youth Affairs, the NGO Center and the Volunteer Center at Tver State University.
About 6.6 thousand volunteers from the Tver region are registered in the unified information system “Volunteers of Russia”. On the territory of the Upper Volga region, there are branches of the country’s largest volunteer organizations, such as the Russian Student Groups, the Russian Union of Schoolchildren, the Search Movement of Russia and the Victory Volunteers.
In May, the international action “Garden of Memory” was held in the Tver Region. In one month, 3.5 million trees were planted in the region. The event, in particular, was attended by Rzhev, Bely and Zubtsov.
