On Friday, April 30, a multimedia section appeared on the official website of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation with information on parades to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the Great Victory.
Information about the parades in honor of the Victory, which will take place on May 9 in 20 cities of Russia, has been published in Russian, English, French and Spanish.
Internet users can familiarize themselves with the number of parade participants in Russian cities, the ground and aviation equipment used in them, as well as the places and times of the festive artillery salutes and fireworks, which will thunder across the country on May 9.
It is specified that salutes and fireworks on Victory Day will be seen by residents of Kaliningrad, Novosibirsk, Sevastopol, Murmansk, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Yekaterinburg, Volgograd and 12 other cities.
In total, more than 60 thousand servicemen will take part in military parades in the cities of the country. The events involve about 1.8 thousand units of modern and historical tracked and automotive military equipment, as well as about 300 aircraft and helicopters.
Earlier on this day, it was announced that the “Word of the Soldier of Victory” project was launched with the recollections of the Great Patriotic War participants on the mos.ru portal. The aim of the initiative is to preserve the memories of the participants of the Great Patriotic War (WWII) for posterity, said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
