Employees of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Vologda Region held a joint event to verify the information received about the activities of the artisanal firearms workshop in the Verkhovazhsky District.
In the village of Bolshoye Efimovo, a search was carried out at the place of residence of a citizen born in 1978, as well as in a garage box. Law enforcement officers found and seized a Kalashnikov assault rifle of 7.62 mm and a Makarov pistol of 9 mm with a silencer, as well as magazines for weapons.
Everything seized was sent for examination. The craftsman was detained. According to the detainee, the weapon belongs to him, and he ordered all the tools and spare parts on the Internet. He does not have a permit to carry and store weapons. Previously, the man was prosecuted.
On the fact of illegal storage, acquisition of weapons, as well as illegal manufacture of weapons, the suspect faces imprisonment for up to 5 years and a fine of up to 200 thousand rubles.
