The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has opened a criminal case on the fact of a possible illegal takeover of the enterprise by the Minister of Justice of the country Denis Malyuska.
“The statement indicated that the Minister of Justice, his first deputy and their subordinates deliberately committed actions aimed at unlawful seizure of the property of the New Fuel Company and other 19 business entities,” writes Ukrainian News on April 18.
It is clarified that the listed crimes are provided for in the articles “Abuse of power or official position”, “Illegal seizure of property of an enterprise, organization” of the Criminal Code.
After filing a complaint with the court on March 11, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) satisfied it and ordered NABU to initiate criminal proceedings at the request of the New Fuel Company. In turn, NABU began a pre-trial investigation on March 23.
In September 2020, Malyuska announced cameras and listening devices in his office. Then he said: “There was no such thing that you could take me for one place and send me to prison.”
The minister was sure that the wiretapping was carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). In particular, there was a case when the head of the SBU, Ivan Bakanov, called the minister at a time when there was food on his table, which he did not have time to sip, and wished him bon appetite.
At the same time, the minister expressed confidence that corruption schemes in the field of registration of parties in the Ministry of Justice are not organized. According to him, employees of the special services would gladly detain those who earn money from this. At the same time, parties complaining about corruption usually submit documents with a large number of errors and typos.
