“The total number of people who recovered in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (on a cumulative basis) increased to 11,659 people. After 14 days of observation after the second negative test result, 349 servicemen were removed from the control of physicians (who were in contact), ”the statement says.
The total number of cured civilian personnel increased to 11 437. According to the latest data, 470 servicemen with positive test results for coronavirus have been identified in military command and control bodies, associations, formations, military units.
“During the month, there has been a steady trend in excess of the total number of recovering people over the number of cases of new coronavirus infection,” the Defense Ministry added.
At the end of August, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Russian servicemen would be vaccinated against coronavirus infection without fail, and those who were on a combat watch far from their permanent deployment sites would be the first to be vaccinated.
