In recent weeks, the number of working residents of the Pskov region who have contracted a new type of coronavirus jumped by 4.85. As the correspondent of “MK in Pskov” reports, the chief physician of the FBUZ “Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in the Pskov Region” Nikolai Kalinin said this at a meeting of the operational headquarters for countering coronavirus, taking place today, on April 29.
He said that a total of 416 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in the region over the past week. About 39% of the sick are pensioners (the number of sick people in this group has recently decreased by 7%); 5.6% – pupils and students (the incidence rate has also decreased).
“In 10 districts of our region, the incidence rate exceeds the regional average in 137 cases per 100 thousand population,” said Nikolai Kalinin. According to him, Novorzhevsky, Usvyatsky, Pytalovsky, Novosokolnichesky, Gdovsky, Pustoshkinsky, Pushkinogorsky, Pskovsky, Plyussky and also the city of Pskov were on this list.
