28 Smolyans fined for calling for illegal rallies

In the Smolensk region, officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia brought to justice 28 residents of the region for calls to organize and participate in unauthorized rallies.

Fines from 10 to 17 thousand rubles were received by 21 people from Smolensk. Another 7 residents of the region turned out to be organizers of such rallies, for which they received fines ranging from 25 thousand rubles to 5 days of arrest.

One of the violators, a resident of Smolensk, posted a video on the VKontakte social network calling for an unauthorized protest, for which he received a fine of 20 thousand rubles. The decision in the case was made by the Leninsky District Court of Smolensk. Two more residents of Smolensk, born in 1971 and 1989, received 5 days of administrative arrest.

The fact of participation in unauthorized actions of two minors from Smolyans was also established. Parents will be held accountable for their actions according to the law.
