The Government of Slovakia did not agree on the purchase of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus infection, explained the Minister of Health of the Republic Marek Krajci.

Earlier, Prime Minister Igor Matovich said that on February 18, the issue of starting negotiations with Russia on the supply of the drug from COVID-19 before its registration by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) would be considered. According to the prime minister, many experts in the country have spoken about the purchase of the Russian vaccine, and the association of employers’ unions has also called for this.

“The government today decided not to purchase the Sputnik V vaccine, the For People insisted on this,” Krajci said.
