As a result of a fire in the village of Mosrentgen in “new Moscow”, 12 people were hospitalized. This was reported on Saturday, February 6, by the press service of the Moscow Department of Health.
“15 people were injured, including children. Three people died, two of them were children. 12 people in a state of varying severity were hospitalized in specialized city medical organizations, ”the report says.
It is noted that several ambulance teams and helicopters from the emergency medical center arrived at the scene within 5-8 minutes.
“At present, all the victims are undergoing a full range of necessary medical and diagnostic measures, medical assistance is provided in full,” the ministry added.
The fire took place on February 6 on the second floor of a 10-storey residential building. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the firefighters managed to save three people, they were handed over to doctors, another 10 people were evacuated. The crews of two ambulance helicopters evacuated four victims.
On the fact of the incident, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case, and the Moscow prosecutor’s office is also conducting an inspection.
According to the investigation, the cause of the fire could have been a wiring fault.
